The volunteers of the "Keep Rhoose Clean" group collected a total of 57 bags of rubbish over the Comic Relief weekend, raising a total of £171 in the process.
The "Comic Relief Litter Pick", organised by the "Keep Rhoose Clean" volunteer group and sponsored by Barratts Butchers, Chris Davies Estate Agents and Rhoose Community Spirit, took place over the weekend, with 35 adults and children and 1 dog going out in their household groups and picking litter from the Rhoose streets.
The voluntary group, created in 2019 aims to keep the streets of Rhoose tidy, saying on their Facebook page:
"The village is a brilliant place to live but suffers, like all areas, with litter. The group will meet on a regular basis to clean main roads, side roads and communal areas. Its intention is to be casual and friendly."
