Andrew Fenton - owner of Chris Davies Estate Agents, has a wealth of knowledge in the industry, and of Rhoose, Fontygary, Porthkerry and Fonmon.  Chris Davies Estate Agents have 3 offices across the Vale and along with his team, is proud to be serving the gorgeous County, The Vale of Glamorgan.

What areas of the Vale do you cover?
We have three offices - Rhoose, Barry and Llantwit Major.  Lettings is based in Rhoose, but we proudly cover the whole of the Vale of Glamorgan.  Rhoose is our head office too.

Why do you think customers choose Chris Davies?
Repeat business and local reputation is key to our success, I believe.  We have also won several awards in recent years (Estate Agent of the year in Barry 2019 and 2022, 2023 and 2024), as part of the British Property Awards.  Plus, we finished in the top 2% in the UK as part of the Best Estate Agent Guide Awards for 2023 (this was for sales and lettings and awards for both individually).  Finally, we have been awarded a Silver Winner for 'Estate Agent in Wales' by the British Property Awards 2023.  That is such a huge accolade, and we couldn't be more proud.

How important to you is the lettings side of the business?
Lettings is a huge part of the company, and we are always on the lookout for new landlords, or existing landords that might consider switching to an award winning, independant, local, qualified agent.

Why should sellers and buyers visit a high street estate agency over an online agency?
I firmly believe that the high street agency will be here for years to come.  As a buyer, it is still convenient to pop in, collect some brochures, view photos and floorplans on our computers and so on.  From a sellers point of view, we are there to talk to, pop in for a cuppa and ultimately have continuity from start to finish with the same person / team rather than disappear into the world of IT and become just a number.  We would rather negotiate in person and this will undoubtedly achieve a better price for the seller. 

How many staff do you have?
Currently we have a team of 11 plus a general maintenance / handy man too - and we all live in the Vale!  Plus, we have an office dog (Mia) who is very well known in our Barry office.
